Plunkett Regional Park neighbour, Dave Bruce has identified exotic pine species as invasive weeds, and will be implementing treatments on pine adjacent to the protected area boundary.
Work will be undertaken to remove trees in green zones adjacent to the park to enhance the conservation value of the Plunkett Regional Park and Wickham National Park.
Dave Bruce has also used goats to treat lantana and the highly invasive exotic signal grass on the Yarrabilba estate over the past 12 months.
The presence of a neighbouring land manager and patrols by security officers on the adjacent property have reduced non-compliant activity in the area.
Also improvements made to the Yarrabibla estate (including fencing and road upgrades) have helped prevent illegal access into the Park.
