The Logan Village Country Music Festival has become a huge event, attracting thousands of music and fun lovers to a day of music, eating and socialising.
The Festival this year on 13 September was no exception, with a diversity of events, amusements and happenings to cater for all tastes and ages.
For the first time, Friends of Plunkett had a presence at a public event and we estimate a couple of hundred people stopped by our stand to chat and learn about Plunkett Regional Park.
Many locals were surprised to know that such a magnificent public asset was on their doorstep, waiting for them to enjoy with bush walks and horse rides.
It was also an opportunity for us to remind a few people that motorised traffic is not permitted in the Park.
The Friends of Plunkett stand was attended by Friend volunteer Trisha Rogers who did a magnificent job, ably supported for large portions of the day by Councillor Don Petersen who is a great supporter of the Park.
Next year we hope to have a bigger presence, with more Friends to help spread the word about Plunkett Regional Park.
Nice Work Trisha and Pete!
Plunkett RP is lucky to have such good neighbours.
Cheers
