EnviroGrants open on January 10, 2018

Friends of Plunkett has been successful in the past in securing a City of Logan EnviroGrant to assist with revegetation efforts in the Park.

Whilst there are no plans for another application this year, Friends are invited to consider an EnviroGrant for any environmental project that will help the local environment and the local community. Perhaps you just need some funding to get started.

The EnviroGrants program aims to enhance and protect the natural environment and foster environmentally sustainable practices across the City of Logan through community awareness and participation.

Two types of grants are available:

  1. Funding for Environmental projects / Research/Education; and
  2. Wildlife Carer Grants – funding for native wildlife carers to be reimbursed for costs associated with the rehabilitation and caring of native wildlife in the City of Logan.

The EnviroGrants program:

  1. Offers grants of up to $5,000 per project for Environmental Projects / Research/Education;
  2. Offers grants of up to $2,000 per Wildlife Carer Grant.

Projects considered for funding must occur within the City of Logan and relate to one or more of the EnviroGrants categories. The fact sheet can be obtained here from the EnviroGrants website.

The next round of EnviroGrants will open on 10 January 2018 and close on 15 February 2018.
