These works were carried out in late May 2015 by Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife (QPWS) staff.
Some excellent outcomes were achieved by the volunteers with several hundred trees, shrubs and grasses being planted at Wickham Timber Reserve and Plunkett Regional Park.
In addition, old four wheel drive and trail bike scarring on the landscape was fenced to encourage recovery of native species.
The combined works throughout April and May has gone a long way to changing the appearance of past uses (and abuses) and restoring the area to its natural state.
QPWS thanks all participants involved in the recovery process.
Great things are happening!
