Beaudesert Shire Trail Horse Riders Club (BSTHRC) had their second club ride in the Plunkett Regional Park on Sunday 25 October, 2015.
Members were pleasantly surprised with the amount of work on regeneration and road work that have been carried out by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and Friends of Plunkett.
On this ride we incorporated some of the land on the eastern side of Quinzeh Creek Road utilising the easement recently cleared for us by the Logan Council on Beuna Vista Drive, everyone enjoyed the 5-1/2 hour ride.
The recently installed water tank was roofed by QPWS and paid for by BSTHRC and filled with water kindly supplied by Shane from Gotcha Water (mobile: 0417 611 114).
Unfortunately vandals have removed the plugs and emptied the water tank and also removed the fittings and down pipe.
Also motorbikes have destroyed at least 20 recently planted trees in the regeneration program.
The water tank is vital to all horse riders and to QPWS for firefighting purposes.
QPWS have repaired the damage on 26 October, thank you Ian. Unfortunately there will always be those that have very little intelligence and only want to wreak havoc.
